Another grey day. Practicalities continue, despite feeble wits: the boilers have been serviced at World HQ & here.

Interest has been expressed in King Crimson performing in Spain. This is wildly unlikely, but not impossible; the odds are about the same as cold fusion becoming widely available for domestic energy within the next 5 years.

Why as likely as this? The quick answer is, Spanish audiences and music industry practices. A performance involves music, musicians, audience & industry. I can vouch for the musicians, and our relationship with music. How can I vouch for audiences & industry in a territory where grief, aggravation, cluelessness & mischief characterises KC audiences in my recent years touring there? The widespread assumption is, artists do as they’re told & put up with whatever they’re shovelled. This is a given in the industry. Audiences: how about photos, viddying & recording? These are consumer rights, after all. The Iberian penny has yet to drop: there are repercussions from any act, intentional, clueless & whatever is in between.

I note, the artist has recourse to only two strategies: withdrawal of labour & access to publicity. You read it here, and KC are not going to Spain until cold fusion heats our Aga.

Jet lag continues. Dribble.
